About

DeMorgenzon's slopes rise from about 200m to nearly 400m above sea level and their vistas embrace Cape Town, Table Mountain, Cape Point, Cape Hangklip, the Hottentots Holland mountains, Helderberg and Simonsberg with the ocean as a backdrop. While they could call themselves ‘mountain vineyards’ they prefer to be known as ‘garden vineyards’. In Spring specially chosen wildflowers flourish between the vines. They have no doubt that a biodiverse and ecologically sensitive environment produces infinitely better grapes and the beauty of the gardens is captured in every bottle of DeMorgenzon wine.

• Aroma: An intense and perfumed nose displaying a vibrant blend of red and black fruit aromas, dominated by cassis, blackberry, and ripe raspberry
• Palate: A structured yet refined South African Cabernet Sauvignon featuring ripe blackcurrant and plum at its core. Supported by fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity, and an elegant, long-lasting finish
• Pairs well with prime cut ribeye steak, braised beef short ribs, slow-roasted leg of lamb, or mature hard cheeses
• Oak Maturation: Matured for 18 months in 300L French oak barrels (40% new oak) to integrate soft, silky tannins while building structural depth
• Cellaring & Accolades: Rated 93 Points in the Tim Atkin Special Report, featuring an outstanding cellaring potential of 10–15 years
