About

Anthonij Rupert Wyne was founded on the farm L’Ormarins in Franschhoek. Originally owned by the late Anthonij Rupert, who passed away in 2001, the farm was taken over by his brother Johann Rupert in 2003. It was Johann Rupert who constructed a state-of-the-art winemaking facility on the estate, and the beginnings of what was to become a sprawling enterprise with a focus on terroir-specific wines.

• Aroma: Gentle aromas of fruitcake, dark berries, and warm spice, with subtle floral notes and a hint of cracked pepper adding complexity
• Palate: A supple and textured South African Bordeaux-style blend with layers of rich berry fruit and gentle fruitcake spice. Accentuated by a lively thread of spice, a velvety mouthfeel, and well-integrated oak that leads to a long, poised finish
• Pairs well with beef tenderloin, slow-roasted lamb, braised short ribs, or mature hard cheeses
• Varietals: 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot

• Palate: A ripe, soft-textured South African Syrah featuring juicy black fruit layered with vibrant nutmeg, pepper, and cinnamon spice. Balanced with a creamy oak note, fresh acidity, a rounded mouthfeel, and a long, elegant tail
• Pairs well with grilled steaks, roasted venison, braised beef short ribs, barbecue, or rich, savory stews

• Aroma: Complex, genteel, and refined, with layers of cassis, earth, hints of herbs, black cherry, and spice
• Palate: A sleek, supple, and velvety South African Cabernet Sauvignon featuring balanced ripe cassis, dark berry fruit, and succulent acid freshness. Accentuated by notes of tobacco leaf, cedar, herbs, and a firm, well-structured tannin frame
• Pairs well with roasted beef, venison, slow-cooked lamb, or mature hard cheeses
